Scientists on the market

On Wednesday, 3 September, WUR is organising 'Scientists on the market’. An activity in which WUR connects with the city as part of the opening of the academic year and shows how our science affects the everyday lives of the residents of Wageningen. The theme of the opening of the 2025-2026 academic year is‘Food for Health: what really works’. This activity is in line with this. There are researchers who can tell us something about what factors make healthy eating difficult, how mushrooms can provide an alternative source of protein, and how we can grow food circularly on Mars!

Come to the market and discover the link between Wageningen research and your daily life. Scientists would be happy to talk to you and maybe even do an experiment or activity with you.
